How do I set up a beginners mode on a Dx6i transmitter?

I just bought a E-Flite Blade 400 RC Heli and I want to set up a beginners mode on the Dx6i so I can minimise the chances of crashing too much while I’m learning. What are good settings for a beginner? I have only flown a Single rotor fixed pitch heli (blade mSR).

Not being familiar with this equipment, I would suggest reading the manual to see if it is possible to “limit” the travel or sensitivity of the unit.
IF NOT, then see if the sticks are length adjustable.
IF they are, use the longest position that is comfortable as motion at the end of the stick will be less motion at the control surface than if they were shorter.
