Is this fast for a 14 year old softball pitch?

I attempted pitching this year. Softball season starts in the spring but we condition in the fall and winter. Once I finally got consistant accuracy down, I started to get faster. The fastest they could measure me at was 58 mph, is this good? Im 14, but Ive hit at a 65-70 mph batting cage so I feel like I should be faster. And my coach says that I probably wont be pitching for them because Im more used to playing third.

58 mph is great. And you’re only 14!!!?? WOW! One thing though…..Don’t get caught up in just speed. It’s nice to throw hard but if that’s all you do, girls will knock it out of the park. My daughters pitching coach says that it’s the pitchers’ job to make the hitter look stupid. Being able to change speeds is a real advantage, especially when you can throw it as hard as you can but my daughter just said, don’t hurt yourself by trying to throw too hard. The best college players throw in the 65-70 range.
